Cultural Concerts for All

To promote a better understanding of the different cultures in Singapore, a series of cultural concerts were organised during National Loyalty Week and into the 1960s. Did you attend one of these concerts, or know someone who did?

We are going to have a multi-racial nation in Singapore. We will set the example. This is not a Malay nation; this is not a Chinese nation; this is not an Indian nation. Everybody will have his place: equal; language, culture, religion.
